50 Plus Computer Learning Center

The 50 Plus Computer Learning Center (formerly known as the "Palatine SeniorNet Learning Center") opened in April, 1995 through the sponsorship of the Palatine Township Senior Citizens Council. It was established to teach computer skills to older adults (50 or over) in a understandable, enjoyable, and friendly way. Since opening, over 5,000 class participants have taken advantage of our program. Taught by all volunteers, we use PC compatible computers (with Windows 7) and MS Office 2007 software for teaching Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Database, and PowerPoint.

Our training classes are open to everyone regardless of residency and age (but focused on those 50 years old or older) . You do not have to live in Palatine or belong to the Palatine Township Senior Citizens Council to attend our classes.

Announcements

No Winter 2012 Classes

50 Plus Computer Learning Center will not offer any courses for the 2012 Winter Session. Recent attendance to our courses has dropped so we are skipping this session.

Core volunteers will meet in the early spring to evaluate potential future course offerings.

Check back here in late winter or early spring for any news of those offerings. Until then, feel free to provide your course requests and comments via the contact us tab on this web site.

Thanks for your support.
